Zimyl Adler

Zimyl (Simone) Adler is a movement-builder, community organizer, and nerd about strategy. They come to PAN with a decade of experience organizing in local and global movements for food sovereignty and economic justice. Previously, Zimyl was the Organizing Director of Community Alliance for Global Justice, where they developed anti-oppression political education and leadership development programs, led food justice campaigns with people on the frontlines of the food system, and coordinated an international solidarity campaign to end the neocolonial corporatization of African agriculture.

Prior to that, Zimyl supported international campaigns for food, land and water rights through policy advocacy, and participated in local direct action organizing. Their work has also included strategy facilitation at the intersections of race, class and gender with social and environmental justice. Zimyl is deeply committed to building power through solidarity for our collective liberation! They are grateful to join the amazing team of PAN organizers and to bring their grassroots experience to PAN’s national and international teams. They have a B.A. in International Relations and French from Bennington College, and are learning Spanish. Zimyl enjoys making art for the queer revolution, and plays clarinet in a Klezmer band, Shpilkis, in Seattle.
