Lorilani Keohokālole comes from the beautiful islands of Hawai'i. Born and raised on O'ahu, Lorilani currently resides on the island of Kaua'i. A wife and mother of 4, Lorilani's passion around advocacy was cultivated at a young age. The Hawaiian cultural value of Mālama 'Āina (care of the Land) is a key value that drives her passion for the protection of the 'Āina (Land). Lorilani believes that in caring and cultivating a relationship with the land, one ultimately is cultivating and caring for oneself.
In 2014, Lorilani joined the MOM HUI and the community of 'Āina protectors on Kauai to support County Bill 2491. She has been working ever since to address excessive pesticide use by GMO companies on Kaua'i. In 2019, Lorilani spent 6 months on the base (camp) of Mauna Kea on Hawai'i Island, in protection of this Sacred Mountain as a volunteer Medic. Lorilani is humbled to stand with her people in protection of this Ahu (Alter) and appreciative of being PAN's 2020 Fellow. Aloha.
