Pesticide reform groups blast decision on chemical
Lawyers for a coalition of pesticide reform groups attacked a decision by the state to approve a toxic fumigant on California crops during a hearing Thursday in Alameda County Superior Court.
The pesticide reform groups told Judge Frank Roesch that the decision by the California Department of Pesticide Regulation to approve the use of methyl iodide on the state's strawberry fields was irresponsible and illegal.
