Willa grew up on a small farm in rural Oregon, where she first experienced environmental injustices within local agriculture and dairy industries. In 2014, she coordinated the Mesa de Conversación project in her hometown to generate restorative dialogue between Latinx and anglo community members. Experiences interning in the Oregon State Legislature and working at the Minnesota Pollution Control Agency fueled her interest in environmental policy and building momentum outside the Capitol. At PAN, Willa leads PAN's organizing and advocacy work in Minnesota. She speaks conversational Spanish.
