Araxi was born and raised in Oakland, California. At 15, a brief visit to the country drew her away from her home town into the Sierra Foothills for her first stint farming — the start of a journey she continues here at PAN as our Development Intern and, too, within her personal life and studies. She is a rising senior at Oberlin College and will soon graduate with a degree in Law and Society and two minors in Philosophy and Religion. With the lessons of her first-hand work with the earth and formal studies at Oberlin guiding, she plans to use her knowledge to restore vitality to our ecosystem and fight for environmental justice. She is also an aspiring writer and a current intern at Berrett-Koehler, an Oakland-based publishing company.
