Drift Catcher Reports

A historical roundup of reports on PAN’s Drift Catcher project.

Lindsay, CA: A full technical report and issue briefs in English and Spanish are available for this report. Air monitoring for chlorpyrifos with the Drift Catcher in Lindsay, CA (2004-2005) was done in partnership with El Quinto Sol and community members.

Yakima, WA: A full technical report is available. Air monitoring for chlorpyrifos with the Drift Catcher in the Yakima Valley, WA (2006) was done in partnership with the Farmworker Pesticide Project and community members.

Hastings, FL: A full technical report and a results summary are available for this project. Air monitoring for multiple pesticides was done with the Drift Catcher in Hastings, FL (2006), in partnership with high school students and a high school teacher.

Sisquoc, CA: A full technical report is available. Air monitoring for fumigants using the Drift Catcher was done in Sisquoc, CA (2008) in partnership with community members.

Tehama, CA: An issue brief is available for this project. Air monitoring for the fumigant chloropicrin was done in Tehama County, CA (2011) in partnership with Healthy Tehama Farms and community members.

Minnesota: Two full technical reports are available. Air monitoring was done at several sites for multiple pesticides in Minnesota (2006-2009), in partnership with community members from the area, as well as from the White Earth Land Recovery Project. The second technical report, on air monitoring at sites in Minnesota (2012-2014), was done in partnership with members of the Toxic Taters coalition, which formed after the first Drift Catcher project was completed.

Tripoli, IA:  An issue brief is available for this project. Air monitoring was done at Genuine Faux Farm, an organic farm that had previously been drifted on, located in Tripoli, Bremer County, IA (2015).

Watsonville, CA: A full technical report and issue brief are available. Air monitoring was done at a local residence in Watsonville, CA (2014), after a nearby fumigant (chloropicrin) application.
