All people have the right to a food system that is safe, healthy, accessible, culturally appropriate, and free of the harms of chemical-intensive agriculture. Pesticide Action Network North America (PAN) is working for this future, and we’re looking for an inspiring, collaborative, and thoughtful Executive Director (ED) to shape the next chapter of PAN’s nearly 40 year history!
We’re seeking a leader with a deep commitment to transformational social change, who is skilled at engaging with diverse communities, exhibits cultural competency, and is open to ongoing learning. A healthy workplace culture is important to us, and our ideal ED will support staff development and be eager to explore and implement creative models of shared leadership. The ED will work with coalitions and networks made up of many different types of organizations, across many geographies, so an understanding of and ability to navigate power dynamics – including those rooted in racial or gender privilege and global inequalities – is necessary. Our work toward health and justice in food and farming systems is for the long haul, and we hope you’ll join us.
